My design inspiration, showcasing portals of greatness
This is a post to show my personal places on the web where I feed off for inspiration and knowledge, I don’t know what I would be doing If these sites didn’t exist.
While I was a student I was constantly looking for ways to improve my skill and knowledge and I learned lots about photoshop, illustrator and web design from these sites, and
another important thing is they help you keep up with latest trends.
Anyway if you’re a follow designer like me I recommend having a look at these websites there a great source for anything design/business related.

Anime Paper is the number one place for looking for anime wallpapers, there’s a great community and you can found some breathtaking art work on there. When I was younger I was heavily into anime and so was all my mates so I started out making wallpapers of my favourite anime shows and characters and putting them on anime paper, I started out by using paint shop pro “anyone remember that?” and then eventually moving onto adobe photoshop.
The only way i could express my ideas to the fullest was to learn everything I could and I found myself constantly trying to improve on my designs all the time and before I could release it I was getting pretty good at Photoshop.

Chris Spooner is the guy behind Blog Spoon Graphics, it’s updated often with great articles and post about design and the tutorials are really easy to follow so anyone can have a go.

Smashing Magazine Is my all time favourite website out there, if you want to learn anything about the design industry it’s got it, loads of articles about the latest trends and techniques in Web development.

Hongkiat is a design weblog dedicated to designers and bloggers. They constantly publish useful tricks, tools, tutorials and inspirational artworks. They also have great freebies!

Deviant Art is the largest online social network for artists and art enthusiasts with over 13 million registered members, you can exhibit, promote, and share your works within a peer community dedicated to the arts, greet to hear what I other people think of your work, good or bad.

Web Creme is a great CSS showcase site, it’s simple but elegant, and also you can archive the content by colour which is handy, but i particularly like this site because they only showcase designs that are clean, minimalistic in style which i prefer.
